Related to point #1 in your piece, Caixin posted this yesterday: https://www.caixinglobal.com/2023-01-30/gallery-cafes-filter-into-smaller-cities-101992976.html. I love how coffee culture is developing in China, and at the same time I'm paying attention to the new challenges it presents to coffee farming.

Nice photo gallery, thanks for sharing PC! I think the majority of the raw coffee beans are still imported. Within China, Yunnan has been seen as a vibrant origin, and the quality and production volume are both going up, there may be trials near other areas traditionally known as tea plantations, too.
